I’ve known Jane Sterk for almost a decade, when she ran as a candidate in the 2004 federal election.
Jane has a deep passion to protect our planet for future generations – and she is committed to improving how government creates public policy.
Jane has many talents – and her work experience is impressive: she is a business woman, a university professor, a successful entrepreneur, a municipal councillor.
Under her leadership, the Green Party of BC become more professional and business-oriented. In my opinion this is due to her business experience.
As entrepreneur, Jane’s commitment and passion grew her company to $33 million in revenues with 35 employees. She and her co-founder were named Alberta Small Business Owners of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.
It’s a little known fact but 65% of jobs in Canada are in small and medium sized companies. Jane’s entrepreneurial skills are what we need at this time in Canada and British Columbia.
Jane Sterk is the best choice British Columbians have for Premier, and electing Greens in the May 2013 election will force the old-line traditional parties to begin addressing the issues that British Columbians care about – and are not receiving proper attention.
A vote for the Green Party of BC and for Dr Jane Sterk is a vote for hope. It’s a vote for our future. It’s a vote for sustainable jobs, strong local economies, food security, energy security, economic security. Voting green is a vote for having a healthy economy, healthy communities, healthy people, and a healthy environment. I strongly urge you to support Jane and the Greens!

I met Jane Sterk during my MBA residency in 2006. Within the first few minutes of listening to her speak, I admired
her for her awareness and dedication to helping others and making the world a better place.
Jane represents any forward thinking individual, and truly empathizes with all of society. As a professor and politician, she is able to find logical solutions to business, social, and environmental issues that we currently face, as well as put into perspective future problems if something is not done soon.
Unlike most politicians, Jane can be trusted to follow through on her promises because she truly believes in what she is saying and doing. Thanks to her, many people are offered an opportunity to vote for someone with exciting ideas in the upcoming election. Jane gives a voice to a better future for us all.

Jane is the sort of leader who inspires people to contribute their best to a team. She has gathered an impressive team of supporters, volunteers and candidates who are clear about our purpose: to restore democracy in British Columbia so we can have a good future. Jane understands how to listen to people, and she demonstrates her immense respect for people in every action. Jane has mentored and encouraged people who would normally not even consider entering politics, including me, so we feel comfortable and ready to take on the challenge of this campaign. Without Jane Sterk, the BC Green Party would not be where it is today – ready to take the stage by electing a strong team to the Opposition.
